Last week the following criminals were brought to the bar of the General Court, and took their trials, viz.
John Townsend, from Frederick, for murder, guilty.
Thomas Robinson, from York, for felony, guilty.
Joseph Male, from Chesterfield, for murder, guilty.
William & John Watkins, from Henrico, for house breaking, acquitted.
William Gray, for horse stealing, guilty.
William Parish, from Charlotte, for felony, guilty.
James Shaughnessy, from Loudoun, for a rape, guilty.
Samuel Berry, from Norfolk, for sheep stealing, guilty.
Samuel Burn, from Frederick, for felony returned to county court for farther trial.
Prince William, for gouging, guilty.
Charles Smith, from Charles City, for felony.
Charles Deal (alias Jones) from Essex, for felony,
John Booth, from Orange, for murder, and
Bazil Hollis, from Prince William, for horse stealing, laid over for farther trial.
