Objects: compare fruits from various sources and localities to arrive at correct conclusions as to their merits, settle doubtful points respecting them, assist in determining synonyms by which the same fruit is known in different parts of the country, elicit and disseminate pomological information, maintain cordial spirit of intercourse among horticulturists.
