Full Text

Mutiny In A Convent.—The German Universal Gazette gives the following.

"A conspiracy by the nuns of the convent of Varatan against the Princess Breakovaz, who, after relinquishing an immense fortune, took the veil in that convent, is the subject of general conversation. At the death of the late superior, three hundred nuns refused to accept the princess as her successor, she having excited their animosity by expressing a determination to make a reform in their conduct, which she considered to have been much too free. The rebellious nuns carried their opposition so far, as to break all the windows of the convent."
