U. S. COURT.—The Savannah Georgian states that the United States Circuit Court in that city, had awarded five thousand dollars to the salvors of the ship Charlotte and cargo. In the case of Richard J. Arnold vs. the Marshal of Georgia, a question arose, on a plea to jurisdiction, whether the plaintiff was a citizen of R. Island and entitled to sue in the Circuit Court of the United States. He had passed the winter months on his plantation in Georgia, but had exercised no rights as a citizen of that State; and has a dwelling house in Providence. The Court overruled the plea to the jurisdiction.
