Full Text

The Boundary Line between Alabama and Georgia is a subject of dispute. The correctness of the line as it exists, is contested by the Alabama Executive and Legislature, and overtures have been made to Georgia, to open the question, and procure a re-survey.

At the last session of the Georgia legislature, refused to join with Alabama in unsettling the present line, but passed a resolve "extending all comity and facility to Alabama in making such examinations as that State may judge necessary. After Alabama shall have selected and determined her own line, the Georgia report says, it will be time enough to decide upon the proper course for them to pursue."
