Japanese Land on New Coastline

SHANGHAI, March 28 (UP)-

Strong forces of Japanese troops landed on Kitchich Bay, eastern Kwangtung province, between Hong Kong and Swatow today.

The troops were reported advancing on an undisclosed objective. The landing was affected under cover of naval guns but Japanese Domei news agency dispatches said there had been resistance by Chinese troops.

Kitchich Bay provides good, deep water anchorage and it was believed the Japanese had landed, as they have at several other south China points recently, in an attempt to stop the smuggling of arms and supplies to Chinese troops.
