BOSTON, January 30 1777.

We hear from Halifax, that several Persons of character in that place, have been apprehended and committed to close confinement, by the infamous Arbuthnot, Commander there, for speaking respectful of the independent states of America, and disrespectful of (as he terms it) their loyal King, but rather a Tyrant. Would it not be proper, that our internal Enemies, who are suffered to walk our Streets at Pleasure, were taken better Care of, as a Retaliation? --Nothing else will do.
