Robbery.—On Tuesday last a soldier stepped into a shoe-shop in town and asked to have a job of mending done—paying the price in advance. In company with four others, he returned in the evening—having noticed where the money was placed in the morning—and while engaged with the only workman in the shop, examining some boots, one of them stole a purse out of a coat pocket, containing $222.50. Neil Gillespie, John Dunmore and Jos. Fowler, of Capt. McCown's Company E., stationed at Fort Walla Walla, have been arrested and fifty-five dollars of the money recovered.
