Full Text

Hague, March 26. Our Letters from Peterburg and Berlin confirm, that the Troops of the two Powers are in full March towards their respective Frontiers, in Order to observe each other, until one of them shall think fit to begin the War. We are likewise assured, that the Election of a Duke of Courland will not be brought on until the Troubles in the North, are some Way or other appeased. Our last Advices from France have no less a warlike Aspect than those from the North, since we are told by them, that the greatest Part of the Troops which yet remain in the interior Parts of the Kingdom, have Orders to join those who are upon the Frontiers of the Empire and Brabant, to be ready, it is said, to assist the Allies of our Most Christian Majesty, in Case they should happen to be engaged in a War. Several Letters from Germany advise, that the King of Prussia persists, more than ever, in refusing to give his Consent that the Archduke Joseph should be King of the Romans.
