Full Text
NEW INDIAN WAR.
The conduct of the adventurer Bowles seems to threaten serious consequences to the United States and Spain, by exciting the Indians to war on the respective frontiers; the mutual protection of which, is stipulated by treaty between the two nations. As Bowles appears to have a great thirst for fame, and is joined by many vagabonds, it is possible he may occasion the raising of another provisional, or rather permanent, army, for the protection of our frontiers. The last accounts mention that Bowles has sent a large party to break up the settlements in East Florida.
