TEL AVIV. Israel, Sept. 5. Farmers from 10 former French and Belgian colonies in Africa began today a study of new patterns of cooperative life that have been developed in Israel.
The 10-week course is under the sponsorship of the Foreign Ministry and the General Federation of Labor (Histadrut). The course is part of a campaign of technical, economic and cultural aid for the newly emancipated nations. The (Continued on Page Four)

Dr. Ezra Hayut of Histadrut's political department said 10 similar seminars for groups from Asia and Africa during the last two years had opened the way to close ties between the labor federation and the trade unions of the participants' countries.
Thirty-seven Ministry of Agriculture officials, teachers in agricultural or cooperative schools, directors of agricultural cooperatives, farmers and new graduates of agricultural schools have come here for the courses.
Five of the participants are from Congo Republic, the former Belgian Congo. The rest are from the Republic of Congo, the former French Congo; Gabon, the Central African Republic, the Malagasy Republic (Madagascar), Ivory Coast, Togo, Cameroon, Upper Volta and Dahomey.
Delegations from Mali and Niger have enrolled but have not yet arrived.
