Full Text

January 20. The Powers who have parcelled out the Territories of Poland are, it is said, going to quarrel about the Division of the Bear's Skin; and should Hostilities commence between them, the Flames of War, instead of being extinguished, would probably spread over the greatest Part of Europe, and England, as well as France, be involved therein. Our Ministry will, if possible, avoid it, and keep the Kingdom from being engaged in any foreign War, as it may obstruct the full Execution of their arbitrary Plan of Government at home; but if subsisting Treaties are observed and regarded, it will be impossible for them to prevent the Nation's being a Party in it.
