Full Text

A late Halifax paper says, "While the Americans are robbing the Spaniards on the land, they are plundering Englishmen, on the ocean.—They infest the harbours in this Province, and the straits of Labrador, and have not only driven the British fishermen from their fishing grounds, but we understand have taken from them by force such articles as they thought proper; and by accounts recently received from Louisburg it appears, that upwards of eight hundred sail of American vessels are bound up the Straits of Labrador. We trust that speedy and effectual measures will be adopted not only to protect the trade, but to punish these people for their temerity."
