MEMPHIS APPEAL
WEDNESDAY MORNING, NOV. 4, 1868
PRICE OF THE APPEAL REDUCED.
Hereafter we will furnish, to regular subscribers, the DAILY APPEAL at $10 per annum, and the mammoth Weekly APPEAL (the oldest paper in the South west) at $2 50 per annum. Mindful of the demand for cheap newspapers, and determined that the public of this region shall have no excuse for an exclusive patronizing of journals published in other cities, we make a reduction that renders our daily and weekly issues as cheap as any papers published in the country.
Of the WEEKLY APPEAL we can confidently assert that at $2 50 a year it is the cheapest paper published in the North as well as South. In size the sheet is 33 by 52 inches, comprising 40 columns of reading matter, embracing literary selections, poetry, all the news of the day, telegraphic and local reports, and commercial and river reports. We challenge the press of the United States to produce a cheaper paper at this price; and yet those subscribing in clubs of two or more may enjoy it at $2 per annum.
Now is the time to subscribe. Those subscribers whose terms of subscription have expired should renew at once. Postmasters acting as agents will be allowed the usual discount of 10 per cent. on single subscriptions. Send in your names gentlemen.
