Extract of a letter from a gentleman in Gottenburg, to his friend in this place, dated 16th Dec. 1809.

"It is expected that peace is concluded between this country and France, and that Napoleon the 1st, Autocrat of the West, demanded the deposed king, Gustaf Adolph the 4th, for the future security and peace of the continent, which it appears the government has submitted to, as the unfortunate king and family had arrived some days since at Carlscrona, to be conveyed from thence across the Baltic."
