We received the following particulars by telegraph, yesterday, too late however for insertion in last evening's issue:
The fire broke out about half-past four Monday morning, in the stone building, corner of Ford and Catherine streets, and completely destroyed the wooden buildings as far east as Benedict's building, where the flames were arrested.
This fire, in connection with the one in October last, completes the burning of the whole block between Isabella and Catherine streets.
The buildings were owned by D. C. Judson, insured enough to cover loss. Mr. Allen partly insured, and J. & G. R. Blodgett insured for so little as to be equivalent to total loss.
The occupants were Jenks & Randall, druggists, insured $5000—loss above that amount $8000: Mr. Vilas, boot and shoe dealer, insured on stock, $3500—enough to cover loss; S. B. Strickland, jeweler, insured $1500 on stock worth $7000: Charles Hill, hats and caps, insured to cover loss; City Prison and Police office, meat market, book store, barber shop, &c.
Insurances were in the Northwestern, Springfield, Howard, Albany, American Mutual, Clinton & Essex, and Etna Companies.
The fire, owing to the stillness of the air and rain which was falling, spread slowly.
The Prescott Fire Company were on hand with their engine, and did good service.
