A Triangular Fight—The Greeleyites Withdraw.
New York, September 28.
It seems there are three delegations from New York and they stand thus: The Fentonites are excluded, and the Conklingites and Greeleyites are admitted with a half vote each. Upon this decision the Greeleyites withdrew, and the pending question is upon conferring the full vote upon the Conklingites.
The committee on permanent organization reported A. D. White as president. Adopted. White renewed his thanks. G. Hilton Scribner was nominated secretary of state by acclamation; Francis C. Barlow, attorney-general; Wm. B. Taylor, State engineer. Alexander Barkley was nominated as canal commissioner, and the resolutions endorse Grant. The convention has adjourned.
The Greeley delegation reconvened at Wild's Opera-House, and the speeches were very denunciatory of Grant. A committee of six were appointed with power to add to their number and call a State convention if necessary. Adjourned.
