From the Louisville Ledger.
Some days ago a terrible accident occurred on the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad at Deputy, Ind., in which five persons were badly injured. The train was on its way from Cincinnati to this city, and stopped at a water tank to take water, when a delayed freight train ran into the rear of the passenger train, crushing the cars and injuring Miss McQuade, of Tennessee; Mrs. Eveline Edwards and her infant daughter, and Mrs. S. K. Foote and infant son, of this city. Everything possible was done by the officers of the road for the wounded, who were brought to this city. It seems, however, that they propose to make the railroad company pay for mashing them up, and yesterday the following suits were filed, in the Court of Common Pleas: Eveline Edwards, for $25,000; S. K. Foote and Malina, his wife for $25,000; John Foote, by his father, S. K. Foote, for $25,000.
