ABOUT PEOPLE,

Senator Leland Stanford, of California, states that ex-President Harrison will deliver him a course of 10 or more lectures before the Leland Stanford, Jr., University at Palo Alto, Cal., in the early part of the next college term. The last lecture will be an expression of Mr. Harrison's views as to the best plan of compiling a code of law to govern all prominent nations of the world. Senator Stanford will have this printed and send it to Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Russia, and Italy. The Senator states that he will do this in accordance with a belief that all war can be obviated if these great countries concur in the adoption of an international code, such as Mr. Harrison will suggest.
