Several vessels from West Indies arrived in Philadelphia reporting a terrible hurricane encountered en route. Capt. Burrows in Sloop Sarah from St. Christophers met violent gale on 22d August at latitude 35°. On 29th met Capt. Thomas Seymour in Sloop Anne from Anguilla to New-York laden with rum and molasses, damaged in storm at latitude 20°. Capt. Bowers, Capt. Clymer, and Capt. Fishbourn also met the storm.
