Philadelphia, Sept. 14. Last Week several Vessels arrived here from the West-Indies, and bring Accounts of a terrible Storm, or Hurricane, which they met with in their Passage here. Capt. Burrows, in the Sloop Sarah, from St. Christophers, on the 22d of August in the Latitude 35 Deg. met with a violent Gale of Wind, and on the 29th he met with Capt. Thomas Seymour, in the Sloop Anne, bound from Anguilla to New-York, laden with Rum and Molasses, who in the Storm in Latitude 20. had lost his Bowsprit and most of his Fresh Water. Capt. Bowers, Capt. Clymer, and Capt. Fishbourn met with the Storm, the latter of which was oblig'd to shift his Lading, and received considerable Damage.
