St. Paul, Minn., July 12.--Minnesota inheritance taxes of $1,084,903 collected on 2,136 estates during the state business year just ended, are shown in a summary issued in the office of Attorney General Clifford Hilton. The total shows a gain of nearly $400,000 over that for the preceding year.
The largest tax collected on a single estate was that of $184,149 on the estate of John W. Sterling, a New York attorney, according to T. E. Cassill, in charge of inheritance tax collections against estates of non-residents.
