LEXINGTON PRESBYTERY.—The Presbytery of Lexington met last week in Timber Ridge church, Rockbridge county. There were about fifty ministers and elders present. Some three or four hundred members were received during the year. $41,000 was raised for all purposes. Rev. P. Fletcher was set apart as an Evangelist to labor in Randolph county. Rev. R. Fleming was transferred from Pendleton county to Woodstock. Rev. D. B. Ewing, D. D., and Rev. J. R. Bowman, ministers, and Messrs. Charles Grattan and Hugh Guthrie, elders, were appointed commissioners to the General Assembly, which meets in Savannah, on the 18th inst. Presbytery adopted a rule, in view of recent irregularities, restricting the powers of adjourned meetings. The weather was delightful and the hospitality of the people abundant.

They adjourned at 12 m., Saturday, to hold the next stated meeting at Lebanon, on the 30th of August.
