ASLEEP ON RAILROAD--Henry Lloyd, of Canon City, for years a resident of the coal camps, and a man well known in this locality, was run over by a freight train in Canon City Saturday. One of his hands was crushed and his head severely cut. At the time of the accident he was sleeping on an embankment with his hand lying across the rail. The injured hand was amputated at one of the Canon City hospitals to which place he was taken later in the day. His other injuries received the necessary attention. Lloyd was assessor of Fremont county a number of years but it is said he has become addicted to the liquor habit recently and that it is possible that he might have been under its influences at the time of the accident. He was city clerk of South Canon recently.
