Votes polled at the last election for
President, which is official, as far as the
Vote was with the people, with the excep-
tion of Mississippi; opposite which we
place 5000 as the probable majority of
Jackson in that State. Delaware and S.
Carolina chose Electors by their legisla-
tures. Opposite Delaware is put down
the votes of that State for Administration
and Jackson candidates for Congress at
the election which took place a short time
before the Presidential; and from the known
strength of the Jackson party in S. Carol-
ina it is not probable that his majority there
would have been less with the people than
that quoted below.
