CHRISTMAS AT ALL SAINTS CHAPEL.—Morning service, with the celebration of the Holy Communion, was held at 6 o'clock, and at the regular morning service, in place of a sermon, a few brief remarks were made by the rector. The children's anniversary of the nativity took place at 6 p. m. The chapel was crowded to overflowing, so that many were obliged to remain standing. The chapel was beautifully decorated with evergreens, among the finest of the decorations being a cross and crown encircled with a scriptural motto. A tree was furnished for the parish, and a Jacob's ladder for the children. Both were bountifully supplied with Christmas presents. The ladder was especially beautiful with its row of tapers on either side and crowded with gifts. The little ones appeared to enter into the spirit of it with heart and soul. After the creed and several prayers, Rev. W. H. Williams made a brief address, in his pleasant manner. Then followed the distribution of the gifts. Not only was the tree and ladder loaded with gifts, but there was a large table full of presents, in the shade of the Christmas tree. There were presents for all connected with the Sunday school, as well as others for many of their friends.
