A Master of a Vessel from the West-Indies into Connecticut informs, That in his Passage he fell in with an English 74 Gun Ship and two English Privateers, who inform'd him they were waiting for a Number of Ships they had certain Intelligence had lately sailed from Cape Francois; and that in a very little Time after he had parted with them, he heard or saw (uncertain which) a smart Firing; which gives us Reason to hope they had fallen in with them—and that some of the American Colonies will be repaid for the many Vessels taken from them.
