Reich Is Fighting
Foreign Spies

LONDON, Feb 16--(INS)--The
British Secret Service today was
reported to be in possession of a
confidential German document
stressing the need of fighting
espionage and offering Nazi agents
all over the world high rewards
for uncovering foreign spies.
The secret circular intercepted
by French agents, copied, and sent
to Britain, grades spies according
to nationality. Highest bonuses are
given for the denunciation of the
British--lowest for the Russians.
The maximum award is $50,000
for the capture of any Briton, who
it can be shown is ferreting out
Reich military secrets. These offers
are far in excess of the rewards
made during the World War
spy hunt.
Despite Italo-German friendliness
the Nazi document rates the
Italians as second on the prize
list. The circular warns German
agents that the Reich is not yet
satisfied as to Italy's sincerity.
Next highest awards are made
for the capture of French spies.
