Extract of a Letter from Paris, May 26.

We have a Confirmation of the Report spread some Time ago that the Count de la Marck was negotiating a Treaty of Alliance between his Majesty and the Catholick King: We are assur'd that the Plan of it is already in the Hands of the Ministers of both Courts; that it is to be offensive as well as defensive; that the two Powers engage to assist each other upon all Occasions where their mutual Interest requires it; and that this Alliance is to be sign'd soon after the Marriage of the Infant Don Philip with Madame of France is celebrated.
