Full Text
Through the persistent efforts of Postmaster Pyle, of Wilmington, a change has been made in regard to the mails on the Delaware Railroad. This change will go into effect on Monday next. The mail train, north, will then leave Wyoming at 7:30, instead of at 5:50 as now, reaching Middletown at 8:23. Returning it will leave Philadelphia at 5:15. In other words, the train which now runs as a passenger train only will, under the change, hereafter carry the mails. This will, doubtless, prove of great advantage as these trains connect with the trains from the various Eastern Shore branches. Whether the carrying of the mails will necessitate stopping at the stations which are now passed on the Delaware Railroad, we cannot say, and, in view of the fact that the Delaware trains are all attached to Wilmington accommodation trains and stop at every petty way station between that city and Philadelphia, it don't make much difference.
