West Side Local 174, Detroit, is celebrating the huge victory in the Kelsey Hayes division in the labor board election. The UAW-CIO got 2457 votes, to only 251 for "no union," while the rump was afraid to go on the ballot.

"We knew it all along," said Pres. Michael J. Manning, "but it's a good thing to have Uncle Sam put the exact count officially on record." The growing body of UAW-CIO members at Firestone Tire & Rubber will be welcomed into our local this month. Rinshed Mason is having a feather party at our hall Tuesday night Dec. 19.
