Wolves killed and wounded 54 Sheep and three Swine belonging to three Persons on the 21st of May at Night. On the 22d in the Day time they attacked two Men in two different Places of that District one of which was followed within one Rod of a Dwelling-House, and catch'd by his cloaths and pulled down, but rescued by a Dog. The night following they beset the Cows in the Barn-Yard and the Swine in the Stye of Mr. Nathaniel Jennison of that Place, who gives us the Information, the Noise of the Creatures waked the People of the House, who immediately went to their Relief, and with a Charge of small Shot killed a Wolf within 30 Feet of the Dwelling-House.
