Chautauqua Will Open This Sunday
Rev. P. J. Garrison, pastor of the Lee Memorial Presbyterian church of Winston-Salem, will be the speaker at the Gillespie Chautauqua this year. The meeting will open Sunday night, May 24th. The bible school will begin Monday morning, May 25th at 9:00 o'clock.
Miss Estella Blevins will again teach the beginners; Miss Iris Young will teach the Junior Department. The pastor, Mr. Stark, will teach the Young People.
The guest speaker, Mr. Garrison, is not a stranger to the mountains. He came to Winston-Salem after pastorates in the mountains of Kentucky. He has been to Ashe county before. REV. P. J. GARRISON, of Winston-Salem, who will hold the Chautauqua at Gillespie church.
The public is cordially invited to attend these services which will continue for two weeks.
