A general and numerous meeting of the citizens of all parties, was held at Albany on the 13th inst. for the purpose of taking into consideration the present critical state of affairs. John D. P. Douw, Esq. was called to the chair, and Jeremiah Lansing, Esq. was appointed secretary. The business was opened by Mr. Van Vechten.-- Col. Troup also addressed the meeting, in a short, pathetic and eloquent address. A number of resolutions, occupying three columns in the Albany Gazette, were unanimously adopted. They are expressed in eloquent and strong terms of disapprobation of the measures of Congress, and the policy of the administration, including the embargo laws, Giles's supplement, the army bill, non-intercourse and non import laws, &c.
