Take A Look In The Mirror You May Have More Than One Chin! Don't Despair, Recent Bride Is Honored Groom's Son Can Be Removed
By HELEN JAMESON (Distributed by King Features Syndicate, Inc.)
Getting along toward forty, huh? Nice age, that. But beset with beauty dangers. Facial tissues not quite as firm as they used to be. In a strong mirror lines as fine as hairs can be detected. You've shirked your beauty duties or you didn't start early enough to attend to them. There is a suspicious little gully under the tip of your chin. And below the gully is a slight fullness. Your chin, gracious lady, is about to take onto itself a mate. You'd better get active. Because if there is one thing that makes a woman mad it is a chin that has gone tandem.
That is the result of carrying the chin low. Unless the head is balanced and carried regally, the chest is contracted and shoulders forced forward. Maddening the way defects arrive in gangs. Begin at once to practice good posture. Don't hold the head stiffly or tilted back. Keep it on a straight line with your shoulders.
DON'T DESPAIR
Molding two chins into a state of single blessedness is something that is being done all the time in beauty salons. So don't despair. Get a massage cream of fairly heavy consistency. Your good friend cold cream won't fill the bill because it is too oily. Lets the fingers slip. Bathe the face with a bland soap and warm water. Hot water is all right for firm young faces but if tissues are even slightly depleted it should not be used. Rinse with warm water, dry with brisk gentle pats. Massage acts favorably when the flesh is warm and pink.
Spread on the cream from collarbones to the forward hairline, using the flattened fingers, one hand following the other. You can use pressure along the jaw line, but slow up when treating tissues around the eyes.
ROLL FLESH FIRMLY
With finger and thumb pick up the flesh under the skin, and roll it firmly. Use both hands, working from the center out toward the sides. The rolling movement dissolves fat cells, which can't take much punishment. To prevent sagginess after the dissolution of adipose tissues, friction with an ice cube while the cream remains on. Hold the head back, but don't tense the muscles of the neck. Follow with exercises to strengthen the fibers. Stand tall, hands on hips, eyes forward. Turn the head to the right with a hard pull and an up-tilt of the chin. Six times, then to the left and repeat.
