Preliminary plans for a state wide campaign for the prevention and control of tuberculosis were formulated yesterday at a meeting of the Colorado State association for the prevention and control of tuberculosis, in Denver.

In this connection a recommendation was passed, immediately after the election of directors for the ensuing year, that the campaign embrace the publication of a magazine, the establishment of tubercular classes in all the larger cities and towns in the state, the distribution of leaflets and pamphlets for the education of the public on the hygiene of tuberculosis, the establishment of permanent and traveling exhibits and a lecture bureau to go before the insurance and industrial agencies, the establishment of day and night camps for the tubercular poor, the providing of municipal dispensaries, and the enactment of an adequate compulsory registration law.

A constitution and by-laws were read and adopted.

Aside from the educational campaign to be conducted during 1910, the chief work of the association will be that of arousing interest in the proposed legislation, whereby each consumptive will be compelled to register with the state and municipal boards of health.

Among the reports submitted at the meeting yesterday was one of the sales of Christmas Red Cross tubercular stamps during the holiday season. It was reported that over 250,000 were sold in the state.
