However, being immediately closed, he routed them entirely, with small Loss of Men on his Side, and of one Officer only. As it is difficult at all Times to know the Number of the Dead and Wounded on the Part of the Turks, it is only added, that Half at least of their Camp was taken; and that it was owing to a violent Storm, that he could not pursue them with the usual Advantage on such Occasions. These Letters further add, that the Grand Vizir had summoned the Governor of Belgrade, and actually opened the Siege in the Turkish Manner.

Marshal Wallis, informed of 30,000 Turks encamped at Panchova, resolved to dislodge them on the 29th past. Marching toward the enemy the next day, the Turks drew up in two lines and engaged fiercely, briefly opening the Imperial line before being routed. A storm prevented pursuit. Letters also note the Grand Vizir summoning Belgrade's governor and opening the siege.
