A few days ago the telegraph mentioned the fact of a train being blown from the track on the Utah Central railroad. The Salt Lake Tribune gives the following details of the calamity:
"On Tuesday last the south bound morning passenger train on the Utah Central railroad, consisting of two coaches and a baggage car, was blown from the track about half a mile from Farmington. A terrible gale was blowing, and just as the train came out of a small cut to where the road was even with the surface of the ground, the wind caught the moving train broad-side, turning it almost top side down, emptying the fires in the stoves into the cars and smashing one side of each coach.
There were quite a number of passengers aboard, but only four of them were hurt and none seriously. Three men, B. S. Young, M. McElroy and J. George, and a lady named Jacobs, from Springville, were the injured parties. The engine took the mail and these three gentlemen to Salt Lake, and then returned with two coaches in which the other passengers were brought down, including the lady - Mrs. Jacobs - who was found to be not seriously hurt."
