Full Text
Mr. Jones has gone to the top of his profession and is one of the rising men of the golden slope. He had been in Pulaski but a few hours when he got a telegram asking him to accept the appointment of judge of the superior court (corresponding with our chancellor) but he declined. The salary of $3,000 is not enough to justify his relinquishment of his practice.
Mr. Jones has made money, as well as reputation. The Citizen is glad to record these good things of one of Giles' worthiest sons.
