New-York, September 4.

This morning, the several battalions of Uniformed Militia Troops, in this city, are to assemble on their respective parades, at eight o'clock, for inspection and other purposes. After which, they will march to the Grand-Parade, in front of the Burnt-Church, Broad-way; where, the whole will be formed in one line, in the following order, viz.

The regiment of Artillery, on the right, to be commanded by Major Reed; the battalion consisting of the Grenadiers of the first, and the Light-Infantry of the first and third regiments, on the left, commanded by Major Christie; and the battalion of Volunteers, uniformed in rifle frocks, will form the centre, commanded by Major Van Horne.

Lt. Col. BAUMAN, of Artillery, to command the whole.

The line will march to the Race-Ground, from the right in platoons or sections, as the Commanding-Officer may think best; each Major at the head of his battalion on horseback.

In presence of His Excellency the Commander in Chief, a variety of military evolutions, assigned for the day, will be performed. Among which, will be the regular attack and surrender of a Fort, situated on the hill, near the house of Col. Lewis. Major Reed, with his battalion, to take possession of the Fort, with two field-pieces—Major Van Horne to carry on the feint, and Major Christie the main attack; each to have one field-piece.

It is expected, the several manoeuvres will be performed with true military exactness, alertness, and decorum.

It is hoped, that spectators will observe a convenient distance from the troops; which, will afford them a better prospect, and the troops a sufficient space to perform their manoeuvres. This hint will surely be approved of by the genteel part of the spectators; who will, doubtless, use their influence to prevent improper encroachments.

In the evening, Col. Bauman will entertain the citizens, with an exhibition of fire-works, on the rising ground in front of the Bowling-Green.
