Cutting Trees In State Forest Costs Youth $5.00

The Christmas money a 19-year-old Seibert youth obtained from selling Christmas trees was depleted Monday night when he was fined $5 and costs for removing trees from a State forest.

The youth, Harry Jones, pleaded guilty to cutting trees in the Savage River State forest when tried before Magistrate Charles S. Zeller, Grantsville.

District Fire Warden Urner Wigfield, who arrested him, said that investigation of the case is being continued and predicted other arrests to follow.
