FOOD CONDITIONS
AT MAZATLAN BAD

MAZATLAN, Mex., July 18—Food conditions here are rapidly becoming more serious and the condition of the poor is deplorable. A large group of refugees, some in pitiable condition, were sent aboard the flagship San Diego yesterday. They told of the trails from the interior being strewn with the graves of refugees and others, who had been murdered by roving bandits.

It is reported here that there is a movement on foot among the peons to unseat Governor Angel Flores, of Sinaloa, whom they blame for their starving condition and replace him with General Juan Carrazo, governor of the state of Tepic.
