Full Text

Half Brave, Half Cowardly.

The liquor traffic must be taxed, and it must be suppressed on Sunday. These are the brave words of the brave people of Ohio.—Cincinnati Gazette.

Half brave and half cowardly, Bro. Smith, and the first half cowardly, at that! and the brave people of Ohio never said the first half and never will.

'Tis brave to say and insist that the liquor traffic shall be suppressed even one day in seven, but it is cowardly and puerile to covet and whine for a share in the profits of the wicked and murderous trade through all the other six days of the week.
