OF TOULON.

Since our last, the schooner Harriot, Captain Howes, has arrived here from Malaga,* which he left the 8th of Octo. By him we learn, that the report of the recapture of Toulon was premature; and that such an event was not even expected at Malaga; that troops had sailed from Gibraltar, Ville Franche, and Andalusia, for that place, and that the combined forces being in possession of the principal forts, thought themselves secure against any attacks which may be made thereon, from the land. The defeats of bodies of the Spaniards, in Roussillon, are confirmed.
