A. S. Tabor, trainmaster of the Norfolk and Western's Scioto division at Portsmouth, Ohio, became assistant superintendent of the railway's Pocahontas division at Bluefield, Monday.
Mr. Tabor's job is taken by A. F. Wilson, assistant trainmaster at Bluefield.
O. E. Mullins, general yardmaster at Wilcoe, W. Va., has been promoted to Mr. Wilson's job at Bluefield, and E. B. Kahle, yardmaster at Clift, W. Va., replaces Mr. Mullins.
Zeke T. Clarke, assistant yardmaster at Clift, becomes yardmaster there.
Mr. Tabor joined the N.&W. as a brakeman on the Pocahontas division on August 1, 1920.
He later served as assistant yardmaster, yardmaster and assistant trainmaster on the railway's Radford and Norfolk Divisions.
He was promoted to his post in Portsmouth in August, 1945.
Mr. Wilson was first employed by the road as a telegraph operator in 1923.
He received steady promotions in the operating department and was appointed assistant trainmaster at Bluefield in 1922.
Later he was a yard clerk there and was promoted to assistant yardmaster at Wilcoe in 1939.
He was named general yardmaster at Wilcoe in 1939.
He was named general yardmaster there in 1945.
Mr. Kahle first was employed by the railway as a clerk in Bluefield in 1917, and has worked in that vicinity since.
He became yardmaster at Clift, in September, 1943.
Mr. Clarke has spent his 21 years of employment at Wilcoe.
He was promoted to assistant yardmaster there in January, 1941.
