Soviet Workmen Reported Fired On by Japanese

MOSCOW, Mar. 14—(AP)—Dispatches from Khabarovsk today said motorized Japanese-Manchukuan soldiers had fired on Soviet workmen from the Manchukuan side of the Soviet-Manchukuo border.

It was said that 30 shots were fired as soldiers drove along the border. Workmen scattered under a hail of bullets.

The troops were reported to have fired 30 shots from an automobile in which they were driving on the Manchukuan side of the border on March 5. The men working on the Soviet side of the river were said to have fled to the shore at the village of Ikatrino Nikorskaya.
