The friends of Mr. Webster are beginning to bestir themselves in earnest. Mr. Webster—The friends of Mr. Webster, a large meeting of the friends of Daniel W. W., was held at Pittsburgh, Pa., on the 9th inst., at which it was recommended that a State Convention of his friends should be called to meet on the 4th of next January. The American of the 11th says:——

The meeting of Mr. Webster for the Presidency, we are happy to be able to state, have an organized under a call numerously and respectably signed, to assemble in public meeting as the confidence in this gentleman and have not lessened for preferring competitors.

National Gazette says—'At the public meeting in West Chester, on the 10th inst., a delegate meeting was gained by the Webster party, and was lustily cheered for the Harrison party in anti-Masonic colors. A strong desire was evinced by the advocates of General Harrison to express an opinion to Mr. Webster.'

Requisitions from various quarters show that meetings are convened at least, to try Mr. Webster's opinion as to the result which will be exposed and remains unchanged.

Whig Festival in Baltimore, held on last, was most numerously attended. Mr. E. presided at the dinner,——
