ELDON FOWLER NOW IN NAVY

Eldon Fowler, radioman third class U. S. N., son of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Fowler of Route 3, Box 302, Tabor City is scheduled to arrive here May 22, aboard the water distilling ship USS Pasig after completing a tour of duty in the Far East.

The PASIG is the only ship of her type still on active duty with the Navy. She furnished water for ships taking part in the 1946 Bikini atom bomb test and for the past three years have been distilling water for fleet units operating in the Far East.
