Louis Kossuth is dying. He was one of the patriot leaders in Hungary some forty odd years ago and on the suppression of the revolt, fled and came to this country. Congress paid him much honor. Some of our people, however, did not take much stock in Kossuth, and in later years a very unfavorable comparison has been instituted between him and his leading adjutor, who remained at home and shared the fate of his people and has been very successful in obtaining from Austria many of the measures which he had at heart. Kossuth left his countrymen and abandoning them to their fate, and has since resided in other lands.
