News seem to be scarce in our neighborhood. We have had an abundance of rain. Broad river has overflowed several times, and is now out of its banks. There is a great deal of sickness in our neighborhood. Miss L. R. Macon is very feeble. Mrs. J. Wash Ladd, who has been quite ill, is now improving to the delight of her many friends. Mrs. J. S. J. Suber has returned home from a visit to her father, Mr. W. A. Robinson, of Union. Mrs. J. R. Stewart and children, of Clarendon, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Clowney. Misses Lida Grace James and Allie Kerr visited Misses Iva Clowney and Minnie Suber this week. Miss Kerr will return soon to her home in Greenwood to the infinite regret of her many friends. We sincerely hope she will soon visit us again. I think we will have a wedding soon. I can hear a faint ringing of the bells.
