A Remarkable Assertion.
On Sunday night last, the Rev. G. R. Kramer in preaching a discourse on the jubilee or rather the May jubilees observed by the Jews as a nation and ordained by the laws of Moses, dwelt particularly on the one occurring every fifty years, when the inheritors of the land would get back that which had been owned by their forefathers. In illustrating this, he said "he believed in the fulfilment of the promises of God," and gave his hearers this piece of intelligence: "That the Jews were now in possession of the land of Judea, inasmuch as the Turks had given to the Rothschilds who were Jews, a mortgage on this land for funds advanced by them." This is really a remarkable condition of things, and worth more than a passing notice by the christian world.
